Student Showcase

There are many opportunities for St Catherine's students to discover their talents and develop a passion and we know every girl has something special to offer. The inter-house competition, Clubs and Choirs is only one of them. It is a student-led celebration of speech, song and music the whole Senior School takes part in.

BTC SHOWCASE

The annual BTC Performing Arts Showcase for Dance and Drama takes place in November each year in the Dame Joan Sutherland Theatre. Our dancers, gymnasts, actresses, singers and artists put on a startling show combining the best of their work throughout the year.

HSC CREATIVE CONNECTIONS SHOWCASE

Creative Connections is an extraordinary evening celebrating the breadth and depth of the girls' HSC creative work. Hundreds of parents, students and staff move through a range of emotions as they share in the girls' talents and creativity, viewing the outstanding work in design and technology, dance, drama, music and visual arts.

EVENING OF EMINENCE

The Year 6 Evening of Eminence is a highlight on the Year 6 calendar. Students immerse themselves in the lives of their chosen person of eminence and depict them by dressing in costume. Among the characters this year were Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafazai, Vincent Van Gough, Mother Theresa and Darcy Bussell.

On stage ,the girls offered insights into their lives through the clever use of poetry.  They also build displays and speak in character throughout the evening, as family members and friends move through the exhibition area.

Disney's the Little mermaid jnr

Each year St Catherine's Year 5 and 6 Junior School students take part in a musical production. In 2014 they performed Disney's The Little Mermaid Jnr, directed by Mrs Jenny Birrell.  The costumes and performances were outstanding.

CLASS OF 2015 FANFARE FAREWELL

The Farewell to Year 12 celebrations take place in Term 3 each year.   Year 12 students are given a rousing farewell starting with a fun filled pyjama party, Year 12 review, formal assembly, chapel service and St Catherine's traditional guard of honour.

The celebrations culminated in a spectacular Valedictory dinner, where girls and their proud parents dine on delicious food and dance the night away to the girls' favourite songs.
