What is your wonder? What is your wonderful?

Corridors and classrooms were filled with excitement on Wednesday as girls, staff and parents celebrated learning in the Junior School. A wonderful morning of curiosity, collaboration and happiness was had by all. The girls eagerly shared learning experiences with their parents and reflected on the provocations: What is your wonder? What is your wonderful?

"My wonderful is being with my family.  My mum came into my classroom and she saw my work. We did activities together. It was fun having a picnic in the playground with mummy. Mummy showed me how to do a cartwheel."  Olive Smart 1L

"Celebration of Learning is a great time to show parents what we've been learning about in class. I showed my mum how to do 'sense writing' and she had a turn doing it herself. She was very good at it!"  Ava Lennon 3L

"This morning I teamed up with Jade and we did a Kahoot about grammar. We were playing a game against all the parents and girls in the 5L classroom. Jade and I came second so we got two Dojos. My wonder is why there is so much gold in Australia."  Amelie Vella 5L

Our advanced percussionists provided a dramatic start to the morning which was followed by a stirring rendition of The Sounds of Silence by the Junior Choir. Mrs Browning and class representatives then shared fascinating learning experiences, including coding, gymnastics, Minecraft, literature, art and Studio Learning. Clearly, our school is characterised by curiosity and love of learning!

Thank you to all parents and family members who were able to join in us on Wednesday. Immense gratitude is extended to Mrs Browning for her excellent work in directing curriculum and organising a delightful morning for all. Special thanks also to Ms Melhuish who helped the girls produce three magnificent murals portraying 'the wonder and the wonderful' of life in the Junior School.
