Young alumni taking on the world

​​​​It's wonderful to hear about the paths our Old Girls have chosen. We hope you will join us in congratulating these young alumni for outstanding achievements in their studies.

 University Medal recipients

The University Medal is one of the most distinguished awards that can be bestowed upon an undergraduate student, recognising outstanding academic performance across a Bachelor program.

  • Laura Ng OG2013. The UNSW Interior Architecture (honours) graduate has been awarded the 2018 University Medal. Laura works full-time at Tom Mark Henry, an award-winning Sydney design practice run by her fellow graduates Cushla McFadden and Jade Nottage. ​Read more about Laura.

  • Katrina Spadaro OG2013. Katrina received the USYD University Medal in 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in English literature at. She is now a PhD candidate researching early modern humanism and satire. Read more about Katrina.

  • Sophie Kaldor OG2012. In 2016 Sophie received first class honours and the University Medal for completing joint honours in English and German literature at the University of Sydney. She is currently participating in Aon's graduate program, which focuses on broad industry exposure, accelerated capabilities growth and giving graduates the autonomy to innovate.

Other achievements

  • Mia Maric OG2014. Mia has just been awarded two prizes in material engineering at UNSW. Earlier this year she participated in the North Carolina State University practicum exchange program, a 12-​week study program working in the field of computational simulations of materials.   • Anastasya Lonergan OG2013. Anastasya recently completed a masters in international business at USYD, after completing a political economics and social sciences degree. She won an academic scholarship to go to Mexico City for a study project, after which she will move to Zurich to work as a policy services consultant. Read more about Anastasya.

  • Tamina Pitt OG2013. Tamina was awarded the 2018 NAIDOC Youth of the Year Award for her achievements in technology. She is studying computer engineering at UNSW. Read more about Tamina.
