It was so lovely seeing the girls return to school this week.
As we commence this new school year, I encourage all students to think seriously about what they can do to achieve academic success.
Being able to confidently construct a written response or obtain a deep understanding of a new concept or competently perform a skill all require attention, hard work, practice and perseverance.
I encourage the girls to make a commitment to the following:
L – Listen to your teacher – they are here to help and support.
E – Engage in each classroom activity whole-heartedly.
A – Always act upon the verbal and non-verbal feedback you receive about your work.
R – Regularly revise your work – good study habits are the key to academic success.
N – Never give up! Enter each activity with a positive mindset and strive for continued improvement.
I am looking forward to working with you all in 2017.
