Spreading the love

St Catherine's was ablaze with the famous red duffle coat this week as the girls revved up to rehearse for the new School video.

The video is called Love School and features around 900 students from Years K-12 performing a series of simple moves to a Strauss waltz. The video is set around the School, culminating in a magnificent finale.

Leading the girls on the day was Head of Dance Ms Sarah Alderton, "This was the largest group I've ever had to work with. It had its challenges; getting the girls to listen, stay in position and having them remember their spots for next time” she said.  “But it went really well and the rehearsal has given us the opportunity to make sure everyone knows what to do on the day."

Wednesday 4 February was the most challenging of the two rehearsal days with almost the entire School taking part in the final scene. On the shoot day it will be recorded using a drone which will show the School from on high.

Director Sam Bryant said the rehearsals went exceptionally well. “The girls were super excited and performed brilliantly. It was a monumental feat of organisation but the staff made it all come together. When the girls wear their red duffle coats for the shoot days on Thursday 12, Friday 13 and Monday 16 February it is going to look amazing."
