At our inaugural St Catherine's Women in Science evening held in early April, guests were inspired to hear the life-story of A/Prof Kerrie McDonald (pictured) who leads the Cure Brain Cancer Neuro-Oncology research program. An engaging Q&A discussion followed with panellists A/Prof Phoebe Phillips who specialises in pancreatic cancer research, School parent and fertility specialist Dr Marcela Martin and St Cath's Old Girl, Professor and Director of Neurogenetics, Carolyn Sue.
Thank you to School parents and founders of the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, Prof Charlie Teo AM and Mrs Genevieve Teo for arranging the Lowy Cancer Research Centre as our venue. Special thanks to St Catherine's Foundation Board member Mrs Teo for proposing such a great event and bringing together our amazing women in science.
