Creative Connections 2016

Last week we gathered as a community to celebrate the creative talents of our girls when our Year 12 Drama, Design and Technology, Visual Arts and Music students showcased their major works.

Creative Connections is the product of hours of hard work and learning. What we witnessed on both evenings was the end result but what lies beneath each work and performance is a journey of complex problem solving, creative thought and innovation. Little wonder then that the girls' creative capabilities never cease to amaze me.

Rachel Weiner (OG 05) and Eloise Cato (OG 08) opened the events and reflected on the importance of the skills they developed through their Creative Arts major works. Both Old Girls spoke fondly of their time at St Catherine's and the significance of the relationships that formed while on their creative journeys.

It was an inspiring and exciting evening for the girls, parents and families, younger students and staff and I encourage the girls to take time to reflect on their creative journeys and to consider the significance of all they have achieved.
