Commerce for a cause

Year 9 commerce students finished off Term 2 in style by participating in the annual Commerce Market Day. Upon finalising their unit on 'Running a Business', the students prepared for the much anticipated Market Day. The girls formed small groups and devised a concept for a business to run on the day. Each group produced a detailed business plan, created and produced their product, marketed their business and sold their goods.

The students are commended on their efforts in preparing for the day, and the smooth and successful way in which they conducted themselves during the market. A big thank you to the ever so supportive St Catherine's community, who were eager and excited to enjoy delicious goodies including homemade fudge, fruit skewers and pizza slices!

Congratulations to the girls for raising $2,473.59 for the Cancer Council in memory of Barry Rodgers. We know the girls made some wonderful learning links on the day and of course, had lots of fun.
