To kick-start the year, the 2017 boarders and staff gathered for the annual welcome weekend. Quite simply, the aim is for our new boarders to feel welcome and for all girls, across all ages, to get to know each other and have lots of fun along the way.
Friday night was a kaleidoscope of colour as the girls dressed up in their team colours for a little bit of friendly competition. An impromptu dance off kick-started the evening and a series of silly team games followed, culminating in our traditional 'fashionista' event.
The girls worked their crepe paper magic, creating new trends and some amazing fashion statements, which I'm sure you'll be seeing on the catwalks of Milan in years to come!
On Saturday morning, after a delicious breakfast, we headed south to the hills of Jamberoo for an action-packed adventure at Jamberoo Water Park. Wow! What a perfect place to be in the middle of Sydney's heatwave. The girls had great fun on the water slides, with names such as 'The Funnel Web' and 'The Perfect Storm', along with the many other attractions on offer.
Finishing up in the wave pool was a definite highlight! Our Year 12 boarders were great leaders of their teams and encouraged participation from everyone. It was a fantastic way to start the year for our happy boarding community.
