Ever craved a coffee while dropping your kids at school? Well, you’re in luck. Year 9 commerce and design & technology classes have this year been given the opportunity to design and manage our own coffee cart business!
We’ve all been very excited about taking this chance in learning how to operate all the different aspects associated with running a business. The commerce class cohort has been split into four main groups: the board of directors, marketing, and finance and operations. Within each team, three managers have been appointed. Everyone has been designated a specific role and have been working hard. We will be instructing the Year 9 design & technology class about how we would like our cart to look, and they will be building the cart for us. We are very lucky to have Mr and Mrs Pisano, St Catherine’s parents and Elafent business owners supporting us as sponsors. They have also generously given their time to share their knowledge and insight about becoming entrepreneurs.
We will be running a bake stall at school on Thursday 21 February to raise capital for our venture and selling a variety of treats, costing from 50c–$3. The money earned will go towards buying products and creating our coffee cart, 'Beans & Co'.
The coffee cart will be running from Term 3. We all really appreciate your support. We look forward to seeing you at Beans & Co, and we hope you enjoy your coffee!
