A visit to the south coast

On Thursday 11 August Victoria Rennie and I were privileged to visit the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community. Nestled in the southern part of the Bherwerre Peninsula which forms the southern boundary of Jervis Bay, the area and the Nowra region are home to two of our current Indigenous students, Tanaya Williams and Kaleena Braddick. It was wonderful to catch up with their families over a cup of coffee. Afterwards, we were given a personal tour of this beautiful area and some insight into its rich indigenous history by Paul McLeod, an elder of the community and future St Catherine's Grandparent.

We hope to develop a stronger relationship with this special region of New South Wales and will continue to offer a St Catherine's education to more of the local students.
