The sun shone and the weather warmed as our boarding community travelled far and wide to return to their 'home away from home'. There was much excitement as new rooms were decorated, new dorm mates discovered, and holiday adventures shared.
On Monday evening, parents of the boarders joined key staff for dinner after the boarders' parent teacher interviews. Parents and staff heard about the exciting changes to the boarding house this year (and beyond), while sharing a lovely meal, meeting old friends and new, and putting some 'faces to names'.
It was a lovely night for all, and I encourage all boarder families to attend next year, and of course, to visit us when next in town.
Our boarding community is such a special one, with girls from city, rural and international backgrounds, all sharing a common bond of 'family'. This term we are delighted to have the addition of a GAP student working with us, as well as an exchange student visiting the girls.
