CHAPLAIN's welcome

St Catherine’s is proud to be a Christian School in the Anglican tradition, which means our school is grounded in the life and teachings of Jesus, as recorded in the Bible. This is the reason why St Catherine’s has a number of distinctive features in its approach to educating girls.

These include:

• We value every student as created by God and therefore of infinite value. That is why we are committed to caring for each individual student, regardless of their ethnic or religious background.
• We acknowledge that each student is unique and has individual God-given talents and abilities that we seek to encourage and nurture in a community of care and service.
• We value learning and encourage every student to explore the world God has made and her place in it.
• We believe that meaningful learning is best achieved in a community of caring relationships, and so we foster strong relationships across all parts of our school community.

During their time at school, students are presented with a vibrant, relevant and engaging articulation of the Christian gospel, and are encouraged to evaluate the claims of Jesus for themselves.

St Catherine's School Hymn and Prayer

An academically rigorous and culturally relevant Biblical Studies course challenges students to consider the Bible and its impact around the world throughout history. It also has students analyse the many and varied challenges to the Christian worldview in the ‘marketplace of ideas’, particularly in popular culture. In doing so, students learn to articulate their own worldview and the distinctive beliefs and values that inform it.
