I love taking part in all the activities, everyone is treated as an individual and we are all valued for our differences.”

Inquisitive and sociable

Harriette is a highly focused all-rounder with a flair for music, art, sport and mathematics. Her mature outlook and dedication to improving her work, has seen her taking on the extra challenge of Extension Mathematics.

Helped by the oral language program which promotes public speaking, Harriette has matured from a shy new starter in Kindergarten to an inquisitive and sociable young girl with an active role on the Junior Student Representative Council (SRC), which helps raise money for charity.

Harriette takes part in many cocurricular activities and represents the school in gymnastics and netball as well as playing cello as a member of Camerata strings.  Harriette said “I love taking part in all the activities, everyone is treated as an individual and we are all valued for our differences.”

Harriette’s mother said “The pastoral care is very important to me and St Catherine’s demonstrates that, while academic challenge is their foundation, the social and spiritual development of the girls is equally important. I am impressed by the vast array of cocurricular activities and the enthusiasm of the teachers. The standards and results are high, but there is an emphasis on treating each girl as an individual and that really has been our experience.”
