St Catherine’s is Australia’s oldest
independent, Anglican girls’ school and we develop critical and reflective thinkers who
will shape society as outstanding women and leaders.
Our K-12 day and boarding students learn in world class facilities framed by ancient magnolia trees. We are truly non-selective and our students come from all backgrounds and faiths.
St Catherine's is a pioneer in developing its one-to-one ICT for Learning and Positive
Psychology programs. In 2015 our Year 12 students received 150 acknowledgements on the NSW BOSTES Distinguished Achievers List for students who achieved a mark of 90 or above in one or more of their HSC subjects. Nine students were mentioned on the All Rounders achievement list for marks of 90% or above in 10 or more units of HSC study. Of particular note was the French Extension cohort, where all girls achieved a band E4 (the highest band for an extension course) result and one student coming 9th in the State for Studies of Religion II. Students were selected for HSC showcases in a range of courses. These included ArtExpress (Visual Arts) and OnSTAGE (Drama). With one student nominated for Encore (Music).
These excellent HSC results from 2015 reflect the breadth of achievement and the excellent educational opportunities at St Catherine’s School.
Our Christian foundation has a profound influence on the way we educate our students. Each girl is infinitely valuable and unique, and is encouraged to nurture and develop her God-given talents and abilities. Meaningful learning is built on strong, caring relationships.
